  -follows simple commands

  -says two-word phrases

2-3 years

  -follows two requests “Get the book and

  put it on the table.”

  -says two- to three-word phrases

  -understands meanings of words

3-4 years

  -answers simple questions: who, what,

  where, why

  -uses sentences with 4 or more words

  -talks about what happens at home

  and at school

4-5 years

  -understands most of what is said

  -uses sentences with lots of details

  -names some letters and numbers

 

 

Development of Speech Sounds**

 

1 1/2-3 years---p, m, h, w, b, n

2-3 1/2 years---k, g, d, t, f

3-5 years---y, l, blends (st, pl, gr, etc.)

3-8 years---r, s, sh, ch, z

4 1/2-8 years---j, v, th (thumb), th (that),

  zh (measure)

sounds should be produced and the sound

  -contesta preguntas sencillas: quién,

  qué, por qué, dónde

  -dice oraciones de 4 o más palabras

  -habla sobre lo que hace en la escuela

  y en casa

4-5 años

  -entiende la mayor parte de lo que se

  habla

  -dice oraciones muy detalladas

  -presta atención a cuentos

3-4 años---p, b, t, k, w, m, n, j, l

4-5 años---f, ch, d, g, rr, x, ñ

5-6 años---s, r

debe producir los sonidos y el desarrollo de los
